Jackie Hill Perry with the birth name Jacquelyn Hill was born on June 21st, 1989 in St. Louis, Missouri, United States. She is a Christian hip-hop, a spoken word artist and a poet. Jackie grew up without the presence of a father and was abused at the little age of 5.
In January 2014, Jackie was signed by Humble Beast record label as an artist. Jackie Hill also performs for the Passion 4 Christ Movement (P4CM). The gospel artiste is part of a worldwide tour called “Poets in Autumn”.
The sexual abuse Jackie Hill faced as a child was part of the reason she struggled with gender confusion growing up.
She was bullied in school and didn’t get a lot of attention from boys, all of which added to her gender confusion as she felt she should have been a boy and began imitating the lifestyle of boys until she eventually became a stud. At the age of seventeen, Jackie Perry discovered she was a lesbian. She entered into a series of relationships with different women. However, she gave her life to Christ in 2004 and has since remained a minister of the gospel.

Preston Perry is the husband of Jackie Hill Perry. Preston proposed to Jackie in August 2013 through the spoken word “The Covenant”. The couple have been married since 2014 and the union is blessed with two children; Eden Grace and Autumn.
In 2019, Jackie and her husband Preston Perry created the ‘Thirty Minutes with the Perry’s” podcast for discussing relationships, parenting, politics etc.

Jackie Hill Perry maintains that she is an ex-lesbian, and that her transition to heterosexuality is among the changes God worked in her life. This stance has been criticized by many, particularly gay rights activists.
Jackie Hill Perry has written for various Christian ministry organizations, focusing on reconciling issues of homosexuality with Christianity. Among these are her articles “Love Letter to a Lesbian”, written for Desiring God, a ministry of John Piper, and “A Christian Response to the Same-Sex Marriage Ruling”, for The Resurgence, a ministry of the now-defunct Mars Hill Church.
Hill Perry also released her own book, Gay Girl Good God, which was published September 3, 2018. She is also author of a Bible study for women and teen girls “Jude: Contending for the Faith in Today’s Culture.” Hill Perry released her second book, “Holier Than Thou: How God’s Holiness Helps Us Trust Him” in 2021.
Some of Jackie’s work has been featured on “The 700 club”, “Desiring God”, “The Gospel Coalition” etc. Till date, she maintains the belief that God can transform lives.
