Archbishop Duncan-Williams Sermons Until You Figure It Out
Today’s message from The Action Chapel International Ministry, Ghana by the Archbishop Duncan-Williams which is titled “Until You Figure It Out”.
Our purpose in life is not often given to us on a big screen, it needs time and a lot of thinking to do. Until you figure out that purpose in life, we will continue to wander aimlessly in life.
The children of Israel kept on wandering in the wilderness for 40 years and the reason is not far-fetched, they were yet to figure it out. They had everything they needed after they were delivered from Egypt but did not enter into the promise land because they were yet to figure it out. They needed to break out from their past and move forward. Unfortunately, it was their children that had the promise land experience and the reason is because they did not have a past to break away from. They were constantly looking forward and they held on to the promise of the Promise Land.
Archbishop Duncan points out to us that what we need to do is to live our past in the past and look forward. It is not the duty of God to figure it out for you. Learn to leave the past in the past and look forward into the future.
The story of Hannah is another great example. Until Hannah figured out the reason why God shut her womb that was the only time she was able to conceive.
