Bishop Jackie McCullough Sermons – Fear

Bishop Jackie McCullough Sermons Fear

This new message by Bishop Jackie McCullough is titled ” Fear”.  This week 4 of the message series of “Christ in the Crisis”. The text for the message is 2 Timothy 1:7 which reads:For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind”

Christians are experiencing fear right now because of the pandemic. As the death toll rises, there is fear and panic.

Fear is a word that describes our emotional reaction to something that seems dangerous. We fear things or situations that make us feel unsafe. It is the body’s way of protecting us from doing dangerous things or putting ourselves’s in harms way.

It is not out of place that we feel fear in certain situations. Fear can cause panic, immobilization, indiscretion and poor choices. But let’s break down the harmful fear that God has not given us as His legitimate children.

The scripture we read we see Paul telling Timothy that God has given him the power not to be immobilized. This kind of fear is not coming from God because when we believe in Christ, he gives us the power not to live i the bondage of fear. Harmful fear will make us to lose control and we become mentally disorganized.

However, Bishop Jackie tell us in this message that this fear we face is not from God. It is not coming with the package of the holy spirit. Where did we now get this fear? As a christian, how do you keep your heart from failing?

The first thing we should know is that God did not give us the spirit of Fear. He gave us the ability to become his children. Romans 8:15 says – The Spirit you received does not make you slaves, so that you live in fear again; rather, the Spirit you received brought about your adoption to sonship. And by him we cry, “Abba, Father.”

Even when the most vibrant Christian experiences fear, there is still hope! He has given us the spirit to be his children.

This is a message that you will love.
