Bishop T.D Jakes: Angels in Your Wilderness

Today, we bring you a message from Bishop T.D. Jakes titled “Angels in Your Wilderness.” The text for the message is from the book of Mark 1:9–13. From the text, we find Jesus in the wilderness. He was neither born nor did he grow up in the wilderness, but life finally pushed him there.

What does your wilderness look like? Is it the loss of a loved one? Being overlooked at your job Or are you feeling the pain of rejection? Whatever your situation, you must relearn the first truth of being a believer: You are never alone! You have angels in your wasteland, designated by God to protect and rescue you. If you acknowledge they are there, you can hold your head high even while you’re feeling low. Trust that your wilderness is a way forward, and believe God will prepare you for His perfect purpose!

He tells us that sometimes, when we find ourselves in the wilderness, we feel that we have done something wrong. The wilderness is not your fault, nor is it your punishment; rather, it is your preparation. The wilderness is designed to put you in the category of exceptionalism.

God is a God of the wilderness. You may be looking for him in the sanctuary, but he is out there in the wilderness.

A wilderness is an isolated area with fluctuating temperatures where nothing grows. When we find ourselves in the wilderness, we are wondering where God is because we are used to seeing God in his magnificence but not in the mundane wilderness places of our lives.

This is a message that you will enjoy.
