Brian Houston Debunks More Accusation from Andrew Wilkie

Brian Houston Debunks more accusation from the International member for Clark, Andrew Wilkie, over alleged misuse of Church fund. The founding pastor of Hillsong Church, Brian Houston has again took to his twitter to debunk more accusations from Andrew Wilkie PM over claims of misuse of church fund.

Recall that Andrew Wilkie petitioned against Hillsong Church over claims of money laundering and tax evasion. He also accused Brian Houston of lavishing church fund on private jet, expensive shopping and luxury retreat.

Consequently, Wilkie tabled documents before the parliament to validate his claims. While raising a document before the parliament, he said that it shows how “In 2021, four members of the Houston Family and their friends enjoyed a three-day luxury retreat in Cancun Mexico using $150,000 of church money”. He also alleged that a Cartier watch of $6500 was bought for Boobie Houston using church fund. Amongst other claims.

In contrary, yesterday, Brian Houston took to his twitter to debunk the claim of a three-day luxury retreat in Mexico. He called Wilkie’s claim to be false while he went on to clarify the purpose for which he had travelled to Mexico .

Today, Houston has also on twitter debunk more claims from wilkie. He denied that his wife Boobie bought a Cartier watch. He added that Boobie never had and would never buy herself a watch with church finances. Houston however called Wilkies allege to be yet another falsehood.

He wrote “Boobie has neither bought, owned, or worn a Cartier watch in the past 25 years. It is just another lie told under parliamentary privilege. She never has and never would buy a watch for herself with church finances. Yet another falsehood”

Nevertheless, Hillsong church is still under investigation over the allegations declared in the parliament.
