Brian Houston Sermons Embrace the Wait
The Hillsong Church brings us a new message by Pastor Brian Houston which is titled “Embrace the Wait.” This message is all about how we can patiently embracing the wait and trusting God in a season of challenge. Pastor Brian tells us in this message that the promises of God are like babies waiting to be born. The duration of our waiting is probably because of the size of what we are waiting for. The scripture talks about the seed time and the harvest but in between these time there is a waiting period.
He tells us that this period of the pandemic is very much like our waiting period. The world is anxious to when it will all come to an end because we do not have the slightest idea on when it will end. He described this period as a tie of clarity and lessons because we starting to see somethings we do not know about before.
God is using this season of waiting to work out something great for you. We need to learn to trust God and understand the power of waiting. When Jesus ascended into heaven, one of the instruction he gave his disciples was to wait in Jerusalem – Acts 1 :4.
Just like how Jesus had promised the disciples the holy spirit and they were trying to work it out from the Earthly perspective, that is how it is in our lives. God gives us a promise and we try to calculate when and how it would happen.
God has made a promise to us but we have to understand the value of waiting because that is where the testimony is.
