We sometimes obviously think about what God released on that day and that is his miracle-working power. Like the Bible describes and Acts chapter 1 verse 8 – But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes on you; and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth.”
What is Pentecost long before the day of Pentecost? It was a Jewish celebration long before Jesus unleashed his spirit on the church. Pentecost had become a celebration of all that God’s saving actions throughout Israel’s long history.
Here are three new things for us to be excited about Pentecost as mentioned in Acts chapter 2
1. It was a new Era for his people.
2. It was a new gospel for all people
3. A new heart and spirit for the church.
The best news is that God is on your side. Jesus through the Holy Spirit within you and with Pentecost power Dunamis power, there is nothing that can withstand the promise of an Almighty God.
