Bridgetown Church is an American church located in Portland, Oregon. John Mark Comer founded Bridgetown Church in Portland with the simple intention of practicing the path of Jesus together.
The Bridgetown Church of Christ is an independent Christian church. Technically, they say that they are not a part of any “denomination”; instead, they are an autonomous local church.
Beliefs
Like every Christian community, the Bridgetown Church believe in the following:
The Bible: The authority of Scripture and our submission to it’s living counsel
(2) The Gospel: The good news that God is ever-pursuing his original Creation mandate of human flourishing and perfect relationship, culminating in Jesus’ sacrificial death and triumphant resurrection

John Mark Comer is the founding pastor of Bridgetown Church. He was born and bred in the Bay Area in a Christian home; his father was a pastor on staff at one of America’s earliest megachurches.
Comer is married to Tammy Comer, and the couple and their three children, Jude, Moses, and Sunday, have lived in Portland, Oregon, for many years.
