Education

From 1974 to 1976, he studied psychology at Hendon College in London, where Reverend Andy Economides, converted him to Christianity in 1975.

Family Life

On July 23, 1983, J.John married his wife Killy. He is a grandfather and a father of 3;  Michael, Simeon, and Ben. Their eldest, Michael, is married to Emma.

Career

Canon J.John began his career as a psychiatric nurse at Napsbury Hospital in St Albans, England, in 1976, before embracing Christian ministry.

Ministry

Canon J.John studied theology at Nottingham’s St John’s Theological College in 1978. He worked at the Christian Renewal Centre in Northern Ireland while studying theology at St John’s in 1980. During this period, he participated in community healing efforts, including working at a local prison.

Later, under the leadership of David and Joyce Huggett, J.John became Director of Evangelism at St Nicholas’ Church in Nottingham, England. He began his job as an itinerant evangelist while directing evangelism activity within the church. During this time, he traveled around the country, giving talks at universities, churches, and other venues.

In addition, J.John appears frequently on international television networks such as GOD TV, Daystar, TBN, UCB TV, and The BBC. With over 9.7 million views on social media, one segment of a TBN UK interview went viral.

His “Facing the Canon” series is produced in collaboration with UCB TV. J.John speaks with a variety of people, including theologians, politicians, activists, and musicians. Awards and recognition

Because of his 30+ years of experience working around the world, J.John has been recognized by various industry leaders. J.John was awarded a Lambeth MA by Archbishop George Carey in 1998 for Church Growth and Evangelism.

The  Coventry Cathedral appointed him an Honorary Canon on 22 February 2003. On 4 March 2012 J.John was ordained Presbyter and Canon Missioner in the non-denominational fraternity Order of St Leonard by Bishop David Carr OSL.
