Clayton King is an American Pastor, Evangelist, Professor, and Author. He is the senior pastor of Newspring Church in South Carolina.
Clayton King Biography
Clayton King was born in 1972 to a teenage mother who was unprepared for motherhood. She gave gave Clayton up for adoption to a Southern Baptist couple, Joe and Jane who raised Clayton on a farm in rural .
King had the privilege of a Christian background, his parents were Southern Baptist, his grandfather was Pentecostal and he attended a Presbyterian Christian school. Although he was raised in the church, he did not become a Christian until the age of fourteen. It was his parents example and the testimony of a converted drug-dealer at his school that eventually led him to faith in Christ. He began preaching at age 15
Today King is the senior pastor of Newspring Church in South Carolina and the founder of Clayton King Ministries.

Clayton King Education
King is a graduate of Hillcrest High in Simpsonville, where in 1988 he started a Christian group, the Solid Rock Club. He was chosen Outstanding Male Graduate of the Year at Gardner-Webb University in North Carolina in 1995, where he acquired a Bachelor’s degree in Ministry and Literature. He is also a graduate of Billy Graham Emerging Evangelist Institute.
In addition, in 2012 the Anderson University awarded him an Honorary Doctorate of Humanities for his service and dedication to the Kingdom of God.
The North Greenville University, also, awarded him an Honorary Doctorate of Humanities in 2015.
King is married to Sharie. The couple are blessed with two boys, Joseph and Jacob. The family currently reside in Anderson, South Carolina.
Clayton King Ministries
King started preaching at the age of 15. He started preaching at schools, prisons and youth groups. Later in 1991, he began Clayton King Ministries and Crossroads Worldwide, a youth organization that partners with churches to provide youth mission opportunities.
In the year 2000, he became the teaching pastor of the Newspring Church. In addition, he has been the campus pastor at Liberty University and he preaches at the University’s convocation and Spiritual Emphasis Week since 2005
The Clayton King Ministries have been on for almost 3 decades and has been offering conferences, internships, camps, International missions in over 42 states in the United States and in over 40 Countries.
Clayton King Ministries relocated from Gardner-Webb to Anderson University, where King holds the faculty position of distinguished professor of evangelism.
Among other things, King is the headmaster of the Broad River Christian School since 2011, a home school he opened for his sons.
