We bring you today’s message from Pastor Creflo Dollar, which is titled “How Much Does God Really Care About You? (Episode 2). The text for the message is from John 11:1–5. ” A man named Lazarus was sick; he lives in Bethany with his sisters, Mary and Martha. This is Mary, who later poured the expensive perfume on the Lord’s feet and wiped it with her hair. Her brother Lazarus was sick, so the two sisters sent a message to Jesus, telling him, “Lord, your dear friend is sick.”
Pastor Dollar teaches us in this message about knowing how much God really cares about us. In this message, he tells us that God is letting us know that he will not keep our hearts from being troubled. He said that we should not let our hearts be troubled. In life, trouble is going to come, but it’s up to us to decide if we’re letting it trouble us or not. In verse 5 of John 1, it says, “So although Jesus loved Martha, Mary, and Lazarus, he stayed where he was for the next two days.” After Jesus got the message, he stayed for two days. When Jesus came, Lazarus had been in the grave for four days, but Martha believed that Jesus could still do something about the situation.
We need to have the kind of faith that Martha had in any situation in which we find ourselves. Jesus will not answer our prayer or solve our problem at the time that we expect, but he will still do amazing or wonderful things if we believe in him. Most of the time, we think that God should have solved our problem or healed us before the illness was identified. We have to keep our faith strong in him because he will care about us. Most times, our not believing in God makes him troubled. Many times, God has delivered us; there is nothing we go through that he can save us from. Jesus allowed his friend Lazarus to die so that we could see the glory of God, so when we go through things, he wants to show his glory. God truly cares about us; we have to put our focus on God, knowing that we’re not alone.
