We bring you today’s message from Pastor Creflo Dollar, which is titled “How to be Trained by Grace.” The text for the message is from 2 Peter 3:18. “But grow in grace and in knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
Pastor Dollar teaches us in this message that we don’t want to judge people in the midst of transition. During transition, they’re not there yet, but they’re on their way because Grace is teaching them. We must understand that growth in your spiritual life can only come by grace. Growth in your spiritual life can only come by grace, because grace is what’s going to teach you and help you grow.
Renewing your mind is really important; your salvation from condemnation comes entirely by the grace of God. Grace teaches you how to live godly in this present world. The false idea is that God’s law teaches men how to live godly lives, that the Moses Law and the 613 laws have been referred to as our moral compass, and somehow we think that the Ten Commandments, operating by rules and regulations, are how most of us have been tried to be trained.
The law cannot produce godly living in your life; only the grace of God can do that. You have the Moses Law, which consists of moral law (the laws that people live by) and ceremonial law (the various laws that people use to present their sacrifice), and it is also governed by the Ten Commandments. So those are the three things that make up the law, or the Moses law. The Ten Commandments, which are the law of God, came from God and are the character of God. No one is telling you not to live by the Ten Commandments. Why’d the law come in the first place? Because, after Adam sinned, there was no standard, so people were doing crazy stuff. Cain killed his brother, and there was no law, so God gave it to tame humans.
So humans won’t go crazy and lose it all until the promise comes; they always knew that Jesus was the ultimate answer. When Jesus came, we started living by grace.
