Today, we bring you a message from Pastor Creflo Dollar titled “The Importance of Understanding Righteousness.” The text for the message is from the book of 1 Corinthians 3:10–11.
Every born-again believer must understand the foundation of righteousness, and the foundation is Jesus Christ. He points out that the foundation is probably the most important part of the house. We have to build our foundation of faith on Jesus Christ so that when we are in a situation, our faith will not be shifted.
He teaches us three platforms on which we can build our faith.
- Our own works and self-effort: By trying to build your faith on your own works and self-effort, we get blessed based on our own efforts, which is not a good platform to build our faith on.
- Jesus built his platform on his perfect work and his perfect Building our faith on the foundation of Jesus, this platform is the only one that is perfect without any cracks. We are blessed because of Jesus.
- Is the Mixture of the First Two Platforms: That is how many churches and Christians build their faith; they have the gospel of Christ mixed with religion, always focusing on our own efforts. This platform is not a good one; we have to step entirely onto the platform of Jesus Christ.
It is the gospel of Christ that is the power of God, not a mixture of self-effort and Christ; the gospel of Christ is the power for your deliverance, healing, favor, promotion, and restored relationship.
Therefore, the gospel of Christ is the power that will deal with your physical, mental, and spiritual restoration. We have to build our foundation on Jesus Christ and stop depending on our own efforts. It is so important for us to understand that Christ is our righteousness because we are righteous because Jesus is righteous. We are made righteous when we accept Jesus Christ as our savior.
