Creflo Dollar: Three Aspects of Grace – Episode 2

We bring you today’s message from Pastor Creflo Dollar, which is titled “Three Aspects of Grace: Episode 2.”

Pastor Dollar teaches in this message that if you are going through a trial, it is to bring to your attention your self-dependence. So somehow in your life you are depending on yourself rather than on God, and God is committed to making sure there are some trials that will be used to burn away self-dependence and finally bring you to a place where you can totally depend on him. That’s the purpose of trials. Don’t complain, and don’t get all soft and weird; you know God will help me, and he will help you through that trial.

Why did Peter have to go through what he had to go through? because Jesus was trying to show him Peter, you know you “have too much dependence on yourself.” Peter went from Revelation knowledge of who Jesus was to denying who Jesus was; trial came and burned it off; now he depends completely on God. Because we give ourselves too much credit, you’ve got an education, a degree, and some money, and God doesn’t want us to depend on ourselves. We think we’re impotent, and the worst thing we can do is convince ourselves that we’re important. The worst thing you can do is go around, look in the mirror, talk, and look at yourself like you’re important when you’re not. It’s going to take a trial to help you get rid of that, because God can sure let you know you aren’t important without him.

He loves you so much that he’s saving you from yourself by delivering you from yourself. He’s trying to tell you you’re too important, but you ain’t listening to him. But you are listening to a hard time you’ll listen to when that money ain’t coming through, when you lost that job. God knows how to deal with everyone in this world.
