Teaching on Satan’s MO, Pastor Dollar tells us that often when we encounter misfortune in our lives, we are quick to blame God. Even when we know that the Devil came to steal, kill, and destroy, God gets the blame for the things that he is not responsible for. We have to learn to put the blame where it belongs: in the hands of Satan.
He tells us that Satan is our adversary and enemy, and the Bible, in 1 Peter 5:8, has warned us that we have to be on the alert. This is because the devil likes to work under the radar, and we have to be cautious of his manipulative ways.
Pastor Dollar points out that the first base of the devil is his suggestions. You have to safeguard what you hear, and one way to do that is to get into the word of God. This is because if you do not get into the word, you may not discern whether it is the voice of God or not. There are some thoughts that, when you hear them, you have to cast out as quickly as you hear them.
He also pointed out that the way you think is going to determine how you feel. If you are feeling depressed, then you need to check your thinking. If you want to put your thinking in check, then you have to check your influences.
Also, he talked about influences, and he reminded us that we are surrounded by all kinds of influences, both good and bad. Therefore, if you are going to be effective, there is every need to check your influences.
