The Holy Spirit is working in us to give us the desire and power to do what pleases God. If desire is the motivation behind everything we do and everything we stop doing, then the Holy Spirit is really working in the right area of our lives.
The Spirit of Grace is working on that foundational, basic motivation for what we do and don’t do. God has begun a work in you, and he will never leave you to finish it on your own.We need to get a real personal relationship with the Holy Spirit in our lives, and when we do that, we are going to see the grace of God working in our lives.
7 Principles of the Holy Spirit
- The Holy Spirit performs the miracle of the new birth: It was the spirit of grace that was responsible for starting the miracle of the new birth. It’s a gift from God, and the Holy Spirit performed it.
- The Holy Spirit communicates God’s plan for our lives: He convinces us that we are on the right track and communicates God’s plan for our lives.
- The Holy Spirit personally indwells the believer: “He lives in each one of us.”
- The Holy Spirit provides assurance of sonship: He convinces us that we are God’s children.
- The Holy Spirit gives victory over sin and self: Trials take place in our lives to help us get rid of self-dependence. Every day, we must be intentional about our reliance on God.In order to do that, we have to trust the Holy Spirit.
- The Holy Spirit makes us like Jesus: The Holy Spirit is the agent of construction that makes the promises of God come to pass.
- The Holy Spirit is the inspiration and power of our service. We need the Holy Spirit to empower us.
The Holy Spirit is like a friend that wants to walk and live with you every day, communicate with you, and guide you through the truth. Administer grace into your life, and he will see that God’s work in your life is completed.
