We bring you the second part of the message from Pastor Creflo Dollar, which is titled “Walking According to the Spirit (Pt. 2).” The text for this message is from Philippians 2:13.
In this message, Pastor Creflo Dollar continued the last teaching on walking according to the spirit. He started the message by reminding us that there is a very close relationship between the Holy Spirit and the grace of God. This can be alluded to by the fact that in the New Testament, the Bible sometimes refers to the Holy Spirit as the “spirit of grace.” Also, he pointed out that without the Holy Spirit, we may not have the grace that we need.
The Holy Ghost and grace work together in the new covenant. The Holy Ghost is the administrator of God’s grace in your life. From the scripture text, Pastor Dollar points us to the fact that everything we do is motivated by desire. Desire is also the reason for everything we stopped doing. Since this is the case, based on the text, we can say that the Holy Spirit is working in the right place.
Pastor Dollar also talked about how we often ask how God is going to change us. God has told us how the Spirit of Grace is working on that foundational, basic motivation. Also, he says that the grace of God is the greatest gift that God has given to mankind.
Speaking about the book of Galatians, he tells us that it is a book that is all about the grace of God. The book of Galatians is dedicated to the works of the Holy Spirit as well as encouraging us to live our daily lives through the Holy Spirit. This is because it is through the Holy Spirit that we can get the grace that we need.
It is very important that we make a decision to develop an intimate relationship with the Holy Spirit, because that is how we will see the grace of God.
Further, he talked about the seven principles about the holy spirit as discovered in the New Testament. The principles are as follows:
1. The Holy Spirit performs the miracle of the new birth.
2. The Holy Spirit communicates the divine plan.
3. He personally indwells the believer.
4. The Holy Spirit gives assurance of sonship.
5. It is the Holy Spirit that gives us victory over sin.
6. The Holy Spirit makes us like Jesus.
7. It is the Holy Spirit who is the inspiration and power of our service.
