We bring you today’s message from Pastor Creflo Dollar, which is titled “What Happens When Fear Becomes Bondage.” The text for the message is from Timothy 1:7. “For God has not given us a fearful spirit, but one of power, love, and a sound mind.”
What do you do when fear sounds just like God? We know we’re in the end times, and you know God has given us wisdom. How we respond to fear is what matters the most, because fear doesn’t come from God. The thing you fear the most is what will come on you, and we have to know that fear is the faith of the devil. God needs faith in order to bring his word to pass, and Satan needs fear; he needs us to operate in fear in order to bring his will to pass.
Most Christians have gradually begun to make excuses for fear in their lives. The Bible says God has not given us the spirit of fear, but there is the fear of the Lord, which has nothing to do with fright; the fear of the Lord is a respect for and reference for God. God has to have faith in order to do things in your life, and Satan has to have fear to bring things to pass in your life.
The Holy Spirit can assist you in casting so that you can live a life free of fear. How do you know if you are being controlled by fear? because the lines have gotten so thin and so gray that even churchgoers don’t even know when they’re operating in fear. Fear is the faith of the devil, just as God needs faith to bring his word to pass. Satan needs fear. When there is no fear in our lives, the Devil cannot bring his will or his word to pass in our lives.
When you tolerate fear, you contaminate faith. Christian people who tolerate fear make excuses for having fear, which affects our lives because when it’s time to operate in faith, we can’t do so because we have been living in fear. We need to get rid of fear, have our freedom, and go after the dreams that God has put in our hearts.
