Dr. Dharius Daniels: For The Streets Part. 5

Dr. Dharius Daniels shares this “For The Streets Part 5”. The message is titled “Unattached, Unbothered, and Untangled,” and it is a message you will love to listen to.

The text of the message is Mark 11:1–4. “As they approached Jerusalem and came to Bedford and Bethany at the mount of olives, Jesus sent two of his disciples, saying to them, “Go to the village ahead of you as you enter it; you will find a cot there that no one has ever ridden; untie it and bring it to me; if anyone asks you why you are doing this? say the Lord needs it.”

Pastor Dharius teaches us the importance of being unattached, unbothered, and untangled. Our presence on earth is not an accident or the result of a cosmic coincidence. We have to believe that we have been intentionally, strategically, and sovereignly placed on this planet for such a time as this. You were built for a purpose and empowered to carry out that purpose. Your purpose as a place is that even though we are called to do something, we are not called to do all things everywhere. The place for your purpose is not just the church that God uses to make us into who he has called and created us to be; we are not made for the church. You’re made for the streets; you’re not the salt of the Church; you’re the salt of the earth; you’re not the light of the Church but the light of the world.

It’s important that we understand that our assignment, appointment, and anointing aren’t necessarily for the church; they’re for the streets. When we say streets, we mean societies, and societies have seven streets, which are

  • Family streets
  • religious streets
  • Education streets
  • wellness streets
  • Art and media streets
  • Government streets
  • Business Street

Jesus said that God has sprinkled us and sown us like seeds into different streets in societies because he knows that when salt gets on something there, it doesn’t have to be the majority to make a major impact. The faithfulness to the assignment of influencing the streets, not just as a critic of culture but as a contributor to it and faithfulness requires freedom.
