Pastor Dharius continued with the teaching about taking ownership of our lives. In John 10:10, it says, “The thief comes not but to steal, kill, and destroy, but Jesus said, I’ve come that you may have a life and have it more abundantly or have it to the full. We have to know that there’s not necessarily or just abundance in life; abundance in life is not just about the quantity of things you have in life but the quality of your life. God is not anti-abundance; he’s a god of exceedingly abundantly above all we can ask or think, but the greatest kind of abundance you can have is not abundance in life but the abundance of life. The greatest wealth is internal wealth, but external wealth is also important. The Bible even says a wise man or a good man leaves an inheritance for his children’s children, so the Bible is not anti-wealth or anti-abundance. We have to know that the greatest kind of abundance you can have is internal; it’s not the quantity of things you have in life but the quality of your life.
The Bible is a blueprint for those of us who are builders. Also, Pastor Dharius says, “I don’t know what kind of business you are in or what other kinds of businesses you are in, but I know what kind. I know one business that everybody is in, and that is the construction business because everybody is building something. It can be marriage, business, ministry, rebuilding their spiritual life, or emotional life. No matter what, we are all building some part of our lives, and we have to take ownership. Someone’s rebuilding their relational life; somebody’s rebuilding their professional life; somebody’s building a relationship. In order for God to build what he wants to build through you, there are certain things God has to build in you, so you are under construction, and that is what actually equips us to construct some things in our lives.
