Pastor Dharius teaches us in this message about being persistent when it’s needed. We have to understand that there will be times in a situation where we have to be persistent. The Bible says Jacob wrestled all night, which means he wrestled in the dark just fighting for his life, and the man (an angel) saw he couldn’t overpower Jacob. The man said, “Let me go, it’s daybreak.” In other words, we’ve been doing this all night and you’re not tired. When it comes to our lives, we have to be persistent in trusting God and fighting for our lives. You’re not tired of all that disappointment. You’re not tired, Jacob. In your life, say, “I don’t get tired.”
What you get out of some struggles is what you refuse to leave without. Jacob said, “Jacob said I’m going to do all this fighting and not get anything out of it. He says I will not let you go until you bless me. Most of the time, when we say bless me,” what we really mean is give me a blessing,” but God says here, I’m not going to give you a blessing; I’m actually going to bless you. We have to come to a place where we trust God and are persistent about it.
