Greg Laurie, senior pastor of Harvest Christian Fellowship has taken to Instagram to celebrate his son, Jonathan, and daughter-in-law Brittni’s 13th marriage anniversary. “A very happy anniversary to our son, Jonathan, and daughter-in-love, Brittni. 13 Years,” he wrote. “You guys are such an amazing couple and model a loving relationship to your family and friends. God bless you on this special day! We love you!” He added.
Jonathan Laurie is the second and only surviving child of Pastor Greg and Catherine Laurie. His elder and only brother Christopher died on July 24, 2008. Christopher died at age 33, following a fatal car accident that occurred on the eastbound Riverside Freeway west of Serfas Club Drive in Corona, California.
Jonathan gave back his life to Christ after years of losing connection as a teenager. He made known his brother had inspired him to do so shortly before his death.
“I am Pastor Greg’s youngest son and have always known and believed in Jesus and that there is a God in Heaven who loves me. I walked away from the Lord for a time in my teenage years, but fully committed my life to Christ after my older brother, Christopher, asked me what it was going to take to give my life to Christ.A short time later, Christopher went to be with the Lord. It was that statement Christopher had proposed to me that got my attention” Jonathan wrote in a statement on his official website.
Jonathan is married to his childhood friend since April 24, 2010. “I’m married to Brittni and we have known each other since we were 11, in junior high,” he wrote. Jonathan and Brittni are proud parents of three children: Rylie, Allie, and Christopher. He has been an administrative pastor since 2015.
