Joel C. Rosenberg is an American-Israeli communications strategist, author, and non-profit executive. He has published sixteen novels about terrorism and Bible prophecy, including the Gold Medallion Book Award-winning The Ezekiel Option. He has also published three nonfiction works, Epicenter, Inside the Revolution, and Enemies and Allies.

Biography

Rosenberg was born in the Rochester area of New York in 1967. His father, Len Rosenberg, is of Jewish ancestry, and his mother, Mary Rosenberg was born into a Methodist family of English ancestry.  Rosenberg’s parents were atheists before becoming Christians when he was a toddler in 1973.

In the later years,he became a Christian at the age of 17 and now identifies as a Jewish believer in Jesus. He went on to graduate from Syracuse University in 1988 and worked as a research assistant for Rush Limbaugh.

Rosenberg is married to his wife Lynn. God blessed the couple with have four sons: Caleb, Jacob, Jonah and Noah. The family reside in Israel.

Career

Rosenburg worked as a campaign advisor for US presidential candidate Steve Forbes.Later he established a political consulting firm that he ran until 2000, claiming to have advised for former Israeli Deputy Prime Minister Natan Sharansky and former Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, from whom he claims to have obtained much of the Middle East knowledge he utilizes in his books.

Following Netanyahu’s defeat in 1999, Rosenberg chose to leave politics and pursue a new career as a writer.
The Last Jihad was his first book, as well as the first in a five-part fictional series about terrorism and how it relates to Bible prophecy.The book was written nine months before the September 11 attacks (a revised edition includes the event) and published in 2002.

When it was released, The Last Jihad spent 11 weeks on the New York Times best-seller list, peaking at number seven. It also made the best-seller charts of USA Today and Publishers Weekly, and reached number four on The Wall Street Journal. The Last Days followed, spending four weeks on the New York Times Best Seller List, reaching number five on the Denver Post list and number eight on the Dallas Morning News list.
After the popularity of his first two novels, The Ezekiel Option was released in 2005, The Copper Scroll in 2006, and Dead Heat in 2008.

In the book Epicenter, Rosenberg also wrote a non-fiction account of contemporary events and Bible prophecy. It was released in September 2006, and a DVD companion was released in the summer of 2007.
Inside the Revolution, his second nonfiction book, examines the various sects of Islam in the Middle East and claims that a substantial number of moderate Muslims are turning to Christianity in the region.
It was published in 2009 and debuted at number seven on the New York Times best-seller list on March 27, 2009. His 2011 book The Twelfth Imam also addresses terrorism and Iran’s nuclear ambitions.

Rosenberg is the founder and president of The Joshua Fund, a non-profit organization dedicated to “blessing Israel and her neighbors in the name of Jesus, as written in Genesis 12:1-3.”
