Today, we bring you a message from Pastor Joel Osteen titled “Build Your Altar.”
Pastor Joel teaches us in this message the important of building our alters, we all can look back in our lives and see where God made a way for us. God has protected us from accidents, sustains us , promoted us when we don’t deserve it. We have to know that all the good things God has done for us is not just luck or coincidence that’s the blessings of God. God is always protecting, favoring in our lives. In the old testament when these good things happens the people will take time to build an alter to thank God for what he’s done.
They look back at those alters to fuel their faith, they know if God can do back then that he can do it again. As Christians we should still be building alters, it’s easy to take things for granted. We are so busy that we don’t notice the blessing of God in our lives. When we take time to acknowledge what God has done we will know that we have been blessed, he brought through pandemic, some didn’t make it. God has given you someone to love, you were at the right place at the right time, he healed you and open new doors in your life.
When good things happens we have to pause and acknowledge the hand of God and thank him for his goodness, mercy. Building an alter is all about being grateful, God told the Israelites in Exodus 20, “BUILD ALTARS IN THE PLACES WHERE I REMIND YOU WHO I AM, AND I WILL BLESS YOU THERE.”. God will bless you when you build an alter for him by remembering and thanking him for his goodness. While you are thanking him God said that he will bless you for expressing his good work. We have to learn the habit of remembering God’s goodness in our lives.
