Pastor Joel teaches us in this message about necessary endings and how, as Christians, we have to trust God. We trust God with our hearts, knowing that he has the best things in store for us. No matter what we face, we need to have a positive attitude, knowing that’s not the end yet. We all face times in our lives when things come to an end without our notice, like losing the job or a relationship ending, but God allows things to come to an end so that he can take us to the next level of our lives.
When something comes to an end, we don’t have to stay struck; we have to keep going to the next level. We have to accept the new thing God is planning to do in our lives. God likes to do new things; he does not want us to stay in one position; he changes seasons. God closes doors to force us into new opportunities, growth, and relationships. If we don’t understand that some situations in our lives have necessary endings, then we will get bitter when the manna ceases. Someone might walk away; you might lose a contract; we have to trust God because he knows what he’s doing.
If God does not bring something in our lives to an end, we won’t see his bigger promises in our lives. If we get comfortable with what we have and don’t want change, God loves us too much to let us stay in the desert (same position). When the manna (blessing) ceases, a new door is about to open. We will see favor in a greater way and discover talents, opportunities, and relationships better than we imagine. Even when we don’t like it, we should have the right attitude about trusting God.
