John Piper Sermons – Why Do We Call Jesus the Son of God?

John Piper Sermons Why Do We Call Jesus the Son of God?

This new teaching by Pastor John Piper titled “Why Do We Call Jesus the Son of God?” is what we are bringing to you to listen to and meditate on. The text for the message is from the book of Ephesians 4:11-14.

What does the term “Son of God” means? It is something that we need to analyze because in some religion, it is puzzling how God has a son. From the text God wants us to be unified in the understanding we have of Jesus as the son of God.

We can trace the phrase to the Baptism of Jesus where a voice from heaven declared him the son of God. Jesus himself affirmed the phrase when peter said that he is the son of the living God. John the apostle, in his gospel makes it clear that the term is not a product of human relationship. In the chapter 1:1, Jesus is seen as the word, distinct from the father yet the father.

The son did not come into being, he was there in the beginning.

This message has a lot to teach you and it is something that you will enjoy.
