The focus of today’s message is on the verse 13 as we try to understand the time frame and the impact on our ministry. According to chapter 2, apostles and prophet are foundational to the church and they are the foundation of the church. The evangelist take that gospel to the world then people are converted. they come into the church to meet the shepherds who multiply it into manifold ministry to build the body of Christ.
This will continue until we come to the understanding of Christ. It is what the scripture describes as a mature man. Does this mean that we will pursue church ministry until the unity happens on earth? Does this get completed at the second coming? The answer is in 1 Timothy 2:14 and the Philippians 1:6. This pursuit of perfect unity will go on till it is completed at the coming of Christ.
