Pastor Joyce teaches us in this message about a patient attitude. As Christians, we have to know what patience is all about and why we should have a patient attitude in our lives. Being patient is one of the biggest challenges in this world, but God wants us to develop patience in our lives. Humility is required to have patience; sometimes we get frustrated when someone is doing something we don’t want. Sometimes we are frustrated that God is not moving fast enough to suit us as we have planned. We have to learn how to have patience with God and know that he will take care of all things that concern us in life. It’s amazing how humility can change a person; we need to have the same attitude as Jesus Christ. It’s not going to be easy, but we can do it with the help of the Holy Spirit in our lives. What happens when we’re not patient? Luke 21:19 says, “In your patience possess ye your soul. Our soul is our mind, will, and emotions; we need to possess them, meaning we need to be in control of our mind, will, and emotions. If we’re not in control, we might end up acting very badly, and that’s not what God wants from us.
The Bible is teaching us that if we’re patient, we will actually be in control of our mind, will, and emotions. If we are not patient, they will end up controlling us.
