Televangelist Joyce Meyer has canceled her upcoming conferences and events through to August, as she undergoes treatment for ill health, arising from complications from a recent outpatient back surgery and a subsequent leg fracture.
In a Monday Instagram Post, the president of Joyce Meyer Ministries shared a personal update about her ill health and consequent cancellation of scheduled programs.
“I want to let you know about a challenge I am currently dealing with personally, Meyer wrote.” “A few weeks ago, after an outpatient back surgery, I experienced a complication and then suffered a subsequent fall and broke a bone in my leg near the ankle. I will be fine but need some time for physical therapy and to get back on my feet,” Meyer continued. “I am sorry to share that we are canceling my conferences and events through August so I can focus on recovery.”
While admitting her decision may be rather “disappointing,” Meyer expressed her unwavering trust in God’s sovereignty over the situation, believing he ultimately will work out everything for the better. She additionally conveyed her confidence in returning with “great teaching” in the end.
Meyer further made known her daily television show, Enjoying Everyday Life, as well as the mission arm of the ministries continues without interruption.
