Theme For Joyce Meyer Devotional January 9 2021 – A Good Imagination
We all have an area of our thought life called imagination. That’s where we see mental images of how we believe things are. If you see yourself as a failure when you’re actually a forgiven child of God, then you have an imagination that needs to be renewed.
Your imaginings and mind prepare you for action. They can prepare you for success or failure, joy or misery—the choice is up to you. You can learn to see yourself as God does. Then you will see His good plan for you come to pass.
If you often think about your past mistakes, they handicap you as you try to enter the future God has planned for you. No matter what you have done in the past, ask the Lord to help you learn to see yourself as a new creature in Christ (see 2 Corinthians 5:17).
Prayer Starter: Lord, help me see myself the way You see me, as a new creature in You. In Jesus’ name, amen.
