Today, we bring you a message from Pastor Joyce Meyer titled, “God’s Healing and Restoration.” God promises us healing and restoration. We cannot always avoid the pain that wounds us, but we can choose to not let it ruin the reminder of our lives. Many of us have been hurt, some very badly, and some of us have done really bad things in our lives, and sometimes people park at the point of their pain.
Some people get hurt by their parents and never get over it. We should not park at the point of our pain; we have to get ahead and live a better life. We have to heal ourselves from those pains, and the only way we can do that is through God and determination.
It is time we shake some of this stuff off (our past pain and mistakes); it’s time we just stop living our lives with a chip on our shoulder and acting like everybody owes us something because we went through some pain. God is the only one who can pay us back for our pain; nobody else can, and as long as we’re trying to collect from the wrong people, we are going to be miserable and stay miserable.
God is in the business of healing and restoration; our entire life does not have to be ruined because somebody hurt us, no matter how long or how recently they have done that. Even if we have done some terrible things, regret is pretty much useless. We can be sorry for the things we have done, but then we need to receive our forgiveness and we need to go on. Living with regrets will only suck the life out of us.
We have to shake off the pains and mistakes of the past and move on with our lives because God has promised us healing and restoration.
