We bring you today’s message from Pastor Joyce Meyer, which is titled “If I Could Do It Again.” (Part 2). Pastor Joyce teaches that we may be in a dark place in our lives right now or going through hard times. We have to know that no matter what you are going through, someone else is going through the same thing.
God said in Isaiah 45:3: “And I will give you the treasures of darkness.” In these dark times, there are treasures for you. We have to trust God when we face hard times; that’s our only solution. We will not grow in faith in God if we allow our circumstances to cause us to doubt him. Pastor Joyce encourages us not to give up on people because God may want to use you to bring out the treasure in them.
If you trust God, no matter what kind of dark place you’re in, God will bring something good out of it. There is treasure in dark places. We have to learn to face the truth about ourselves; it might be the hardest thing because it’s so easy to blame someone else for our bad behavior.
No matter what has happened to you in the past, God can teach you how to behave and act rightly. We have to take responsibility for where we are. You cannot get where God wants you to be if you don’t take responsibility. It may be someone else’s fault that you are bad, but it is your fault if you stay there. If you want the power of God in your life, you have to make up your mind that you are finished feeling sorry for yourself and take control.
No matter what has happened to you in the past, you don’t have to feel sorry for the rest of your life. If we give it to God, he will take the mess and turn it into a miracle. Accepting the truth about yourself will help you get to where God wants you to go. It’s only pride that keeps us from admitting our fault.
