Here is a new teaching from Joyce Meyer which is titled “Overcoming Disappointment”.
We all have times in our life where we have gotten disappointed. In this message, Meyer tell us that the answer to getting disappointed is to get reappointed. There have been times in our lives when we have been discouraged, what we should do is to find a way to be encouraged. You have to keep steady because just like light overcomes darkness, positive things will always overcome the negative.
On the other hand, the devil wants us to live in a pit; pit of discouragement, depression, fear or anger. That pit is not where God wants us to be and not where Jesus died for us to be at.
Meyer tell us that we pray for God to take us out of those places that we do not want to be. In truth it is not all about the prayers. When we pray about such situations, God simply shows us what we need to do to get out of such situation.
Walking in the spirit entails that we do that thing that God wants us to do, regardless of whether it is from the word or Rhema. We need to learn to stop asking God to deliver us from a problem that we keep on feeding day in, day out.
Meyer teaches that every time you find yourself in a pit, skip the guilt trip and climb out of that pit. If you make a mistake and then you start feeling guilty about it, you will end up back in the same trap again.
No matter the kind of mistake you have made nor the pit you find yourself in, repent about it and climb out. Make a good decision that is going to override the bad decision.
