Joyce Meyer: Parable Of the Rich Young Fool

We bring you today’s message from Pastor Joyce Meyer, which is titled “Parable Of The Rich Young Fool.” Pastor Joyce teaches us that we should not let ourselves get too focused on always letting all our energy go toward getting what we want because we can have everything we want right now and still be one of the most miserable people on the face of the earth.

Our joy and peace are not found in what we own, like our investment portfolio, or in being in the right social group; they can only come from having the right relationship with God and being in his will. The world is in such a desperate condition, and we were chosen for the time that we live in; we are chosen to be alive in this time, and God has a purpose for us. You may think you can’t be a pulpit preacher, but your life is a sermon, and the main reason why more people are not following Christ and why Christians are made fun of and ignored is because there is something wrong with the way we represent God.

One of our responsibilities is to represent God in the right way so that people will see the way we live and follow us and come back to God. We are to make a good effort to go out there and act like we believe in Jesus. God wants us to live an abundant life, but he does not want us to be greedy. God does not want any Christian to have more than they can handle and still keep him first in their lives. No matter how little you have now, if you’re not managing what you have well now, you won’t manage more in the future. If you’re not faithful with what you have now, chances are you’ll never have any more because you can’t manage it well. Greed is a problem, and it needs to be taken care of if we want God to trust us with more.

We hope that you enjoy this message.
