Kenneth Copeland Ministries Hosts Celebration of Life Service for Jerry Savelle

Kenneth Copeland Ministries, led by prominent televangelist Kenneth Copland, has hosted a celebration of life service to honor the memory of his “longtime ministry partner and dear friend,” Dr. Jerry Savelle, who passed away recently.

According to the Ministry’s statement, the celebration of life service is scheduled for Friday, April 26th, at 1:30 p.m. CT. The event will take place at Eagle Mountain International Church (EMIC), located at 14355 Morris Dido Road, Newark, Texas 76071, and is free to the public.

The service reflects on the scripture “His Lord said unto him, Well done, thou good and faithful servant” (Matthew 25:21 KJV). For those unable to attend in person, the service will be live-streamed on both the Kenneth Copeland Ministries (KCM) and Eagle Mountain International Church EMIC Facebook and YouTube pages.

Dr. Jerry Savelle was a renowned author and prominent figure in televangelism. He died on April 15, 2024. At the time, Kenneth Copeland shared a tribute expressing his grief and the depth of their bond.

“Jerry and I have been preaching together for over 55 years. We have never had a crossword between us. Our families are intertwined with each other,” he said. He recounted how Jerry began in the ministry, supporting Copeland before launching his own successful ministry.

The statement further detailed a pivotal moment in 1969, when Copeland received a divine revelation about their future partnership. “God showed me that someday you and I will become a team,” Copeland quoted himself telling Savelle at the time.

Their partnership proved fruitful, spanning over five decades. Together, they ministered to countless individuals, demonstrating a deep bond of friendship and a commitment to spreading the gospel.

Jerry Savelle’s ministry is credited with leading hundreds of thousands to faith, and his impact is immeasurable. The Celebration of Life Service will serve as a time to honor Jerry’s legacy. It also offers support and prayers for his wife Carolyn, his daughters Jerriann and Terri, and the entire Savelle family.
