Max Lucado Sermons – Hope for the Left Out

Max Lucado Sermons Hope for the Left Out

The Oak Hills Church shares this new sermon by Pastor Max Lucado titled “Hope for the Left Out” which we are bringing to you to listen to and meditate on. The text for this message is taken from the book of Matthew 9:9 –

“As Jesus went on from there, he saw a man named Matthew sitting at the tax collector’s booth. “Follow me,” he told him, and Matthew got up and followed him.”.

Today again we see how Jesus chose the most unusual candidate to be his disciple. The Jewish citizen did not rank the tax collectors, They were hated and despised . Matthew as a tax collector was a persona non grata. he was avoided, Every on kept their distance except Jesus.

In Luke 5:5, we see him organize a banquet for Jesus, inviting all other tax collectors. However, the pharisees came to the party to judge. They were unhappy with the kind of people Jesus hung out with.

Jesus explains that he is right were he needs to be. He tells them that he did not come for the righteous but for the sinners. He lets them know that the healthy do not need a doctor but the sick.

Jesus offers us the invitation he gave Matthew. You may think you have messed up but God uses the most unlikely people. All you have to do is to stick with Jesus.

If yoy feel left out and turned away by others, God is inviting you close to him.

This is a message that will change your life.
