He came back only with an apology and nothing else, he who had left home with a bag of riches. The prodigal son came back but he was unwilling to be a son anymore, he was ready to be a servant. The fact is that father was not willing to stop being a father.
This is the case with us and God, You may be willing to stop being God’s child. But God is not willing to stop being your Father. When you came to him, he made a covenant with not to leave you no matter what.
