He said you don’t really realize how vitally valuable and important peace is until you lose it, until somebody disturbs your peace. There’s a big key to protecting your peace and it is to get away from people, get away from the crowd … just get away from the crowd. Crowds drive mob violence, crowds stimulate us to do things and you can end up losing your peace. You have to get into a place of solitude … you cannot live in the limelight when you wither and die faster
Bishop Bronner said you have to get away from the crowd as even Jesus the son of God had to get away from the crowd. He said he doesn’t care how good a doctor is, how good a counselor is, how good an attorney is and how good an accountant is … when you’re dealing with people and problems. It’s the problems that people have that start draining you and you start feeling the pull on you so Jesus had to get away from the crowd himself and go apart and rest a while because he felt the dream and so a large part of protecting your peace is knowing when to leave the party because you can drain yourself just by being around a certain kind of of neediness in the lives of people.
