Pastor John Gray: The Responsibility of Freedom

Today we bring you another message from Pastor John Gray which is titled “The Responsibility of Freedom”. The scripture for this message was taken from the Exodus 14:15 which tells the story of how the Children of Israel crossed the red sea.Pastor John tell us that everything that was happening in that passage was just to make an entire nature bow down.

God chose Moses to deliver the Children of Israel from Egypt but there were a lot of thing that Moses had walked through. Those thing ordinarily were enough to disqualify him, for example he was a murderer. Pastor John tell us that there are people who think that you do not deserve what you have.

He went on to tell us that God chose Moses regardless of his past. The thing with God and his sovereignty is that he will not ask anyone about you. God speaks to himself.

One thing God did not do was to bring up Moses’ past as a factor for disqualifying him. He does not care what people think about you when calling you. You do not need the applause of anyone but God when carrying the assignment of your life.

There are some responsibilities that comes with freedom. One point you should note is that you have to quit crying and start moving forward. Pastor tell us that when you go forward whatever it was that blocking your path will also move as well. When God tells u to move forward, everything standing in your way is going to move.

Another that happened when God asked the Children of Israel to move forward was that he asked Moses to look at his hand.  As a leader, this is an important point to note. You have to understand that as a leader your hand are not optional.

Real leadership is not optional, put your hands on anything that God has asked you to do. Do not let the specter of new freedom take you back to bondage.

Pastor John equally taught that When God called Moses and asked him to go back to Egypt to deliver the Children of Israel, he did not bring up his past. In that same vein, anyone who still brings up your past has no place in your life. Your past was factored into God’s choice but he chose not to allow your past dictate his sovereignty.

What are the four responsibilities that comes with Freedom? Thay are the fact that you have to:

  1. Remember
  2. Renew
  3. Replace
  4. Redeem

This is a message that will change your life.
