Today, we bring you a message from Pastor Creflo Dollar Ministries titled, “Suffering for a Reason by Pastor Ken Terry.” He said that when the topic of suffering is ignored, it causes us to have a false relationship with God. When hard times come, we get mad at God. We begin to question God’s allowing of difficult times and our relationship with him.He stated that if we do not understand that hard times will come, we will be unprepared and will not be able to build our faith in God.
We have this tendency to think any time we face hard time, that we’ve done something wrong and God doesn’t love us. We start thinking that we are not his favorites. Therefore, when persecution arises and we get offended; we therefore question God, which shows that we don’t trust him, and then we fall away. He said that when we are facing hard times, the word in us, which is the seed of God, is being tested. We’ve got something great inside of us that the devil doesn’t want inside of us.
He said that the devil comes to see how much we truly trust and are dependent on God. When we get into a bad situation, what helps us maintain our joy is the word of God. God loves us, and no amount of suffering will make him stop loving us. Trials and tribulations are going to come in our lives, but we have to know that God is going to save us. The modern Christian is afraid of having trials in their life, but we get stronger in our faith when we pass each trial. There is a reason for every suffering in our lives; it does not mean that God doesn’t love us. Nothing can separate us from God’s love.
