He said our churches lack God’s power and presence as we have made other things our priority. This is why we see widespread division, but not widespread revelation. Pastor Matt asked if you are giving God the time He deserves? He also reminded us that just when you think you are beyond hope, God shows up.
Matt Hagee said that when you read first Samuel chapter 3 verse 1, you notice that there is a connection in the relationship between God and his word. For example in verse 1 it says the word of the lord was rare and there was no widespread revelation and in verse 1 there is no word and therefore it seems like there is no presence of God. In verse 21 it says and the lord appears and how does he appear? … With His word. The point is where God’s word is, He is.
