Pastor Sarah teaches in this message that it is a timely reminder of where we are to be positioned and focused not just as Believers but as change agents. That we are not meant to be just believer that we are to change agent in the world. If we get caught up just being churchgoers will miss out on the opportunity to be change agents to be people who establish the kingdom of God. When Jesus is recruiting his disciples to join him in Ministry that he uses the phrase Fishers of Men if you follow me I will make you “Fishers of Men.” All of the different professions of the time there was something unique about fishermen that he wanted the the disciples to understand would be a framework for how they moved into discipleship then moving into discipleship would be very similar to how they were already functioning .
One thing that’s amazing about God he uses every experience that we’ve ever had. Jesus called disciples to fish for people, but it’s not about catch and release.
Pastor Sarah tell us that you don’t need a platform, a microphone, or a perfect past, you just need the right bait! What God has done for you, your testimony of His power and mercy will help you reach those around you to tear down the principalities and powers that have controlled your life. If God has helped you catch it, He’ll help you keep it. It doesn’t matter if you feel in over your head, that’s where God’s power shines brightest! He will equip you to fight, not against flesh and blood, but against the forces of evil. Wear the full armor of God and nothing will stand against you!
