Pastor Steven Furtick: Delayed Praise

Today we present a new message from Pastor Steven Furtick, which is titled “Delayed Praise”. The text for the message is from Psalm 34:1-6. “says, “I will bless the Lord at all times; his praise shall continually be in my mouth. My soul shall make her boast in the Lord; the humble shall hear thereof, and be glad, O magnify the Lord with me, and let us exalt his name together. I sought the Lord, and he heard me, and he delivered me from all my fears.”

Pastor Furtick teaches us in this message about delayed praise. As Christians, we have to know what delayed praise is. Our contemporary challenges often make it difficult for us to know exactly what God would have us do in that situation, yet God gives us the timeless truth of his eternal promise that he hears us. They looked to him and were lightened, and their faces were not ashamed. We have to depend on God because he is always there for us. This poor man cried, and the Lord heard him and saved him from all his troubles. The only person who can save us from our trouble is God. No matter how big it is, he will deliver when we trust him. We should not allow the voice of the devil to overcome our lives; we have to believe God and his words.

When we are in trouble, the devil tries to make us feel that God will never answer us. We should not allow that. Praise is not contingent upon the events of my life, not if I’m a mature Christian, and praise is not just a song I sing. It is a way of seeing our situation, speaking about our situation, and being in this world God has placed us in. We have to develop the act of praising God no matter what situation we’re in because he’s the one who can save us.
