Pastor Steven Furtick Sermon – Accepting Jesus vs Accepting Me

Pastor Steven Furtick shares this new sermon and message titled “Accepting Jesus vs Accepting Me” which we are bringing to you to listen to and meditate on. The senior pastor and founder of Elevation Church who is married to Holly Furtick has changed the lives of many people through his teachings and way of life. He said that sometimes accepting Jesus means accepting ourselves as he reminds us that we’re called by God.

Elaborating on his sermon on Sunday 28 February 2021, Steven Furtick’s wife Holly wrote on Instagram:

“GET TO THE GOOD PART
Genesis 50:19-21; 1:3

This weekend @stevenfurtick brought such a hopeful message to us when he reminded us that God’s plan never stopped being good. Here are a few highlights from my notes…

-Every person, every process has a dark part.
-It won’t always be this dark.
-To make it to the table you have to walk through the shadow of death (Ps 23)
-James 1:17 Every good thing has a dark part. Most people quit before they get to the good part.
-If it’s good, it came from God.
-It’s only good if you use it for its intended purpose.
-The darkness doesn’t have to go away for the light to be effective. Focus. Get to the good part in your mind.
-You must GO THROUGH the dark to GET TO the new. Change is not always the answer.
-It’s not in the answers that God becomes real. It’s in the wrestling through the questions.
-We need the faith to say it IS good while it is still dark. (John 16:7)
-Genesis 1:4 Darkness comes first. Evening and morning. God starts good in the dark.

This message will touch your soul today. It’s available for you to watch and share on all Elevation channels.”
