Are you weary or drained? You might be fighting your battle with old weapons. In 2 Samuel 21, King David found himself facing the same enemy he fought as a boy, only this time he wasn’t carrying a sling and rocks. He’d upgraded. No use using teenage tactics in a 40 year old’s fight.
I couldn’t stop talking to my wife, Beth, about this sermon cause there’s a lot of areas of my life that I’m still leaning on yesterday’s methods. So this word hit home: “Stop using an old strategy in a new season. Just because it worked successfully in one season doesn’t mean it’s right for this one.”
