Pastor Steven Furtick Sermon: Waiting For Restoration

Pastor Steven Furtick shares this sermon and message titled “Waiting For Restoration” where he teaches that what you’ve done doesn’t define who you are. This is an excerpt from his sermon “Timing Your Testimony”. In this message, he said that some sermons he preaches are like a lesson. He said that this one to him in his spirit feels more like a lifeline that God gave him to give to somebody as you were waiting for the restoration of something you lost. If we can look at this Scripture for a moment we can see some things to help us. It says, “Elisha had said to the woman whose son he had restored…”

He told that woman, “Go away with your family and stay for a while wherever you can, because the Lord has decreed a famine in the land that will last seven years.” Verse 2: “The woman proceeded to do as the man of God said.” Then when she came  back seven years later, she lost what she had.

You can do exactly what God tells you, that you can go exactly where he sends you, that you can act on God’s word and not see the results you imagined.
