Why do you doubt? This is a very complicated question because it is not easy to explain the reason that we started to doubt what God has called us to do.
A lot of people will try to find solution for our spiritual struggles. However, it is complicated thing to try to describe your insecurities to anyone. People will always look at you and compliment how you look and how strong and talented you are.
Pastor tell us that there are a lot of things that when they accumulate in a person’s life, it brings them to a place where they start to doubt. It is really hard to understand what goes on in these moments when you sink. Therefore instead of asking ‘Why Did He Doubt?’… a simpler question should be – When Did He Doubt-
Again, he tells us that many times when the circumstances gets worse, that is when our faith actually locks in and gets stronger. From the scripture text, it was not when the wind got stronger that Peter fell. Peter fell when he saw the wind. The wind was always there but he did not focus on it because he had his focus on Jesus. Peter started to look at what was against him.
When did you start focusing on all the things you are going through that you forgot how far God has brought you. When did you take your mind from what Jesus was moving you towards to start looking at everything that is against you?
The wind did not just start at the moment. Peter was closer to Jesus before he lost his focus. Pastor Steven said that the enemy knows this and wants to shift your focus to the wind.
