Herein, Pastor Furtick tells us that when you are in an uncertain situation, go back and revisit all the things that God already did for you. May be God brings us back to Bethel sometimes to remind us of when we killed it. It may also be to remind you of the things you accomplished, regardless of your educational background or the things you were taught to do.
Just like Jacob in the Bible, God took him back to Bethel when he was so afraid. Bethel is the place of greatest faith for Jacob.
When we are passing through the development stage of our lives, It makes us so afraid. This is because we do not know what will happen next. What God does is take us back to the place where we felt the most fear and never thought we would make it.
There are moments when we felt that we would not make it, but we did. God is calling you to build an altar in the place of your greatest fear and to believe.
Bethel is the place of fear, and you cannot figure it out; all you have is faith. That is where you find God. That is why he is called the God of Bethel. God wants us to go back to Bethel. His reason is because if we don’t, what is on us may make us forget what is in us.
