Prayer Against Depression
Glorious God,
I am here before You today because I am currently being weighed down by the challenges of depression. This human feels hopeless, lost, and isolated, and I yearn to experience light and hope again. I know that I am not alone, but at times, it’s hard to remember that. I implore You to alleviate the dark feelings that are overwhelming me. Manifest Your love and grace within me, filling me with the strength that I need to face each day and experience hope, and joy in my heart.
Lord, I need Your healing in my mind, heart, and throughout my being. Please grant me the courage to let go of the past and every other thing that caused me to be in this state. Show me the way and guide me to take the necessary actions that will help me heal. I need You to give me peace. Calm the storms in my mind and bring a sense of tranquility to my soul. Help me to find rest in You, and to trust that You are working all things together for my good.
I ask for the strength to keep moving forward and the courage to ask for help when I need it. Thank You for the healing You are about to bestow upon me and for Your amazing works in my life. May I always remember that I am never alone, that You are with me all the time, and that You would gladly solve all of my problems for me because only You can do all things. Thank You because I believe You have already answered my prayers. In Jesus Christ’s name, Amen.
