Prayer For Humility – Being Humble Promotes You

Prayer For Humility

Humility is the key to good life and most success stories. A prayer for humility will go a long way to making you make it big in life because God loves humble people and will make you super prosperous if you are humble. Even Jesus during his lifetime on earth was super humble. Humility opens doors and makes you super happy with yourself. Sometimes the spirit is willing to be humble but the body and it’s ego won’t allow the humility in you to manifest.

Say this prayer for humility below so that ego can let you be and make you can be bigger than you ever imagined.

“Father, give me a spirit of humility that realizes its ignorance, admits its mistakes, recognizes its needs, welcomes advice, and accepts rebukes.

Help me always to praise rather than criticize, to encourage rather than to disparage, to build rather than to destroy, and to think of people at their best rather than at their worst.

I ask this through Christ our Lord.

Amen!”

Three steps in Countering pride.

1 )  Start praising others.

By this, I do not mean to flatter people -praise those vain things like dress and looks. Look at others as God’s precious gifts to you. You and I cannot do without them. As we see the importance of others around them, we will thank them and praise them. Our compliments will become real.

2 )  Carefully listen to others when they are going through humbling times.

I figure that part of the humble experiences I go through are because I have not learned from the cues God has earlier given to me. We will need to go through humble times of course but why increase them! Pay attention to lessons God is teaching others. Self-examination can greatly increase our wisdom. Ask the Lord to show you the areas in your life where you are prideful.

3 )  Live as if you cannot live without those near you.

We are interdependent creatures. We need each other. The church is His body. We are members of one another. Because of this, we love one another. We treasure one another. We will assume the best of each other (1 Corinthians 13). This attitude is crucial for good brotherly leadership. Ask God to take you to the next level in your love for His people.

Remember to say all prayers with faith and dedication including this prayer for humility .
